Outdoor Events in Lake Havasu
Weather, Shade, and Comfort

Shade & Cooling on the Patio

Every table on the Northside patio sits under its own full-size palapa, a traditional thatched palm canopy that blocks direct sun while letting the breeze through.

The outdoor bar has the same palapa-style coverage, so your guests stay shaded whether they’re seated for dinner or grabbing drinks at the bar.

Combined with Lake Havasu’s dry desert air, the shade keeps the patio noticeably cooler than open sun, especially during evening events when temperatures drop quickly after sunset.

OCTOBER — APRIL (PEAK SEASON)

Start anytime 11 AM — 8 PM | 60°F — 85°F
Most comfortable months. Book early — these weekends fill fast.

MAY & SEPTEMBER

Start time at 5 PM or later | 85°F — 100°F
Evenings are comfortable. Avoid midday events.

JUNE — AUGUST (SUMMER)

Start time at 7 PM or later | 95°F — 110°F+
After-sunset events only. Misters and fans running.
Cooler than you’d expect once the sun drops.

Monsoon Season (July – September): Lake Havasu gets sudden afternoon and evening storms during monsoon season — usually brief but intense.

Winter Evenings: Lake Havasu winter nights can drop into the 50s.

Events We Host on the Northside Patio

Our outdoor patio is built for celebrations that want fresh air, flexibility, and a relaxed dress code.

Here are the events Lake Havasu families and businesses book most:

Birthday Parties & Milestone Celebrations

The most popular event on the patio. Casual enough for a 30th birthday with friends, spacious enough for a big 50th with extended family. Bring a cake, bring decorations, bring whoever you want — we’ll handle the food and drinks.

Graduation Dinners & Family Celebrations

School colors, balloons, and a photo-friendly backdrop that beats any banquet hall. The patio handles multi-generational groups well; kids can move around, grandparents get comfortable seating, and everyone eats family-style.

Casual Corporate & Team Events

Happy hours, team dinners, client appreciation events, and end-of-year celebrations. The outdoor setting keeps things relaxed. One master bill, no fighting with bar noise, and enough space for people to actually mingle.

Rehearsal Dinners & Wedding-Adjacent Events

Engagement parties, bridal showers, post-wedding brunches. The patio’s string lights and palm trees photograph beautifully at sunset; natural décor that feels intentional without the cost.

Holiday & Seasonal Gatherings

Friendsgiving, Christmas parties, Super Bowl gatherings, New Year’s Eve under the stars. Lake Havasu’s fall and winter weather is made for outdoor evening events.

Celebrations of Life

A warm, open setting for honoring someone special. Flexible timing, buffet or passed appetizers, and a space that feels more personal than a banquet room.

Custom Menus; Same Family Recipes, Outdoor Style

The patio gets the same kitchen as the main restaurant: Jesse and Lisa’s family recipes, fresh ingredients, and handcrafted cocktails. The only difference is that the service style leans toward what works best outdoors.

Menu Styles That Work Best on the Patio:

Family-Style Platters: Big platters of tacos, enchiladas, rice, beans, and guacamole served to each table. This is how the Marquez family eats — and it’s how most outdoor events flow best. Guests pass, share, and eat at their own pace.

Buffet Stations: Self-serve stations work well for larger groups (40+) and events with flexible arrival times. Taco bars, burrito bars, and appetizer stations are our most requested outdoor setups.

Appetizers & Small Bites — Passed or stationed apps for cocktail-style events, happy hours, and networking mixers. Pair with one of our signature cocktail packages.

Plated Dinner — Available for more formal outdoor events (rehearsal dinners, anniversaries). Each guest chooses from pre-selected entrées with synchronized service.

Dietary Accommodations: We handle gluten-free, vegetarian, and allergy-specific requests. Let us know during menu planning and every guest will be covered.

Bar Service: We offer several options: Open bar / Cash bar / Drink tickets / Limited hosted bar.

Frequently Asked Questions
Outdoor Events at Locos Northside

Lake Havasu summers are real: but we host outdoor events year-round. For June through August, we recommend starting at 7 PM or later when temperatures drop significantly after sunset. Our patio has fans to keep the air circulating.

Monsoon season runs July through September, with storms typically hitting in the late afternoon or early evening. We monitor the forecast starting 48 hours before your event. If storms are likely, we’ll call you with options — move to an indoor section, shift the start time, or reschedule to a new date.

Every table on the Northside patio has its own full-size palapa, a traditional thatched palm canopy that blocks direct sun while still letting the breeze flow through. The outdoor bar has the same palapa coverage, so guests are shaded whether they’re eating or grabbing drinks. For evening events, the palapas hold in warmth from the string lights and keep the space feeling cozy after sunset. During Lake Havasu’s peak season (October through April), the patio is comfortable all day. For summer events starting at 7 PM or later, the combination of shade, evening air, and desert dry heat makes it cooler than most people expect. You can call us at (928) 466-9960 to schedule a walk-through at the same time as your event so that you can feel it for yourself.

Lake Havasu winters are mild compared to most of the country, with daytime highs in the 60s and 70s from November through February. Evening events can dip into the 50s after sunset.

We recommend 2-3 weeks for weekday events and 4-6 weeks for weekends. During Lake Havasu’s peak season, October through April, weekend evenings book out fastest. Holiday weekends (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Super Bowl weekend) can fill 6-8 weeks in advance. Summer dates are easier to secure on shorter notice. Call Lisa at (928) 466-9960 to check availability for your date.

Absolutely. Stop by the Northside location at 3620 London Bridge Rd during regular hours (Tuesday-Sunday, 11 AM-9 PM) and ask to see the patio setup. We recommend visiting around the same time of day as your planned event so you can see the lighting and feel the temperature. Lisa or Jesse can walk you through layout options on the spot.

Family-style platters and buffet stations are our most popular outdoor setups. They match the relaxed patio vibe and work well when guests are moving around. For more formal outdoor events, such as rehearsal dinners, we also offer plated service. Jesse and Lisa will recommend the best fit based on your group size, event type, and budget. Most hosts go with a family-style setup and never look back.

Yes, bring whatever you’d like. Birthday cakes, custom desserts, cupcakes, and pan dulce from your favorite bakery are all welcome. We’ll plate and serve it for your group at no extra charge. Just let us know ahead of time so we can have plates, utensils, and fridge space ready. If you’d rather skip the outside dessert, our kitchen makes churros, flan, and sopapillas that pair perfectly with Jesse’s Cadillac Margarita

Up to 60 guests for a private event. We can configure the space for seated dinners, cocktail-style mingling, or a mix of both.

Yes, when you book the patio for an event, the entire outdoor space is reserved for your group. No other diners will be seated on the patio during your event. Your guests get the full space, dedicated servers, and privacy.

October through April is peak patio season, with comfortable temperatures, gorgeous sunsets, and the snowbird population means your out-of-town guests will already be in the area. Spring break weeks and holiday weekends book fastest. May and September evenings are beautiful if you start at 5 PM or later. Summer events work well after 7 PM when the sun drops, and temperatures become surprisingly pleasant. There’s genuinely no bad time for an outdoor event in Lake Havasu; you need to pick the right time of day for the season.

We’re at 3620 London Bridge Rd; just minutes from the London Bridge, one of Lake Havasu’s most recognizable landmarks.
